How Many Cousins Will Fit in a Tub?

Yes, I know that I just posted pics of my kids playing in the water at Nani & Papa's last week but this week Nani bought the kids a kiddie pool to splash around in. It was a hit!

Isn't it cute?

McKenna loved splashing in it and of course she tried to drink as much of it as possible.

And just in general was all around cute! I love this picture of her!

Austin practiced his "swimming", which consists of sliding around on his belly. We need to get this kid to a real pool this summer!

The real fun came when Katelyn got there to join us in swimming. We passed off our ducky pool/bathtub and it was just the right size for her.

Until McKenna decided there was way too much room for just Katelyn in there and insisted on joining her.

And then refused to leave.

Austin tried to join in the fun, but there was only room for a smile!

How Does Your Garden Grow - Part 4: The Fruit Veggies of our Labor

It's harvest time! For a few plants at least. I'm really surprised how quickly we got real food out of these plants though! I would have thought it would take at least a little longer!

Nani showed Austin how to pick snap peas.

And then we picked a cute little zucchini!

We meant to eat these for lunch, but when we put the bowl down to water the plants, we forgot to pick it back up!

But watching my kids have so much fun simply watering plants was worth it!

We also discovered little buggies that are eating our plants. It's hard to be mad at something that moves so cutely!

More Sea World

Trying to take advantage of our year passes, the Robin and I made plans to take all the kids to Sea World again. There were a few things we didn't get to see when we were there a few weeks earlier. It was fun having just a mommy & kids day, but I was also missing having Brian along to help keep track of both kiddos! Having two kids that are wanting to run in different directions can be very challenging!

Thankfully all three of us made it home! And we had a great time with the cousins! It was a good day!

I love watching these three play together! They are such good buddies!

We did a couple things we didn't get the chance to our first trip.

We stopped at the tide pools...

McKenna acted like she wanted to touch the bat stars too, but really she just wanted to drink the water.

Saw the Pets Rule show and petted a pig...

Ate ice cream....

Talked to a kangaroo...

(Austin insisted it's name was Joey, despite the handler's protest and insistence that is was Bucky. There was no convincing him!)

Went on a few rides...

And cooled off at the end of the day at the splash pad...

What a full day! I can assure you that we all slept hard that night!

Summer Fun - More Kid Concepts

Our 2nd Summer Fun playdate was at Kid Concepts. We heart Kid Concepts! We were just there last month but my kids would probably go everyday if we had unlimited funds!

This trip was expecially fun for the kids cuz Daddy got to come! He had a four day weekend for the 4th of July. I don't think he realized how much of a workout he was going to get crawling around in the hamster trails with the kids!

The other perk to having Daddy along is really really good hangtime in the swings!

(For scale - Brian is 6'3". So Austin is probably about 10' up or so!)

I love how much my kids love to swing! (McKenna can spot a "Weeee" from a mile away!) You can see the pure joy in McKenna's feet and hear it in her giggles!

And I love this pic that Rebecca captured of all of us!

Daddies are also good for some good ol' fashion rough housing too!

Big Faker!

I can't tell you how proud I was of Austin that day! His breakthrough with the ladders and slides at the park a few weeks ago made a big difference! He still needs a little pushing to get started but once he gets started, he loves it! "Again?.....Again?" was all we heard for about an hour! He even went down the scary black slide that I unfortunately made him go down last year! Brian had to kinda push him to go down it this time too, but as soon as he hit bottom..."Again?!" Yes! You certainly can, you brave kid! Unfortunately it's really dark by the slides, so this is as good of a video as I could get!

And my always adventurous little girl was all over that place! (Pardon the crazy hairdo. I only had one rubber band. Kinda looks like a falling palm tree!)

Austin spent a good amount of time in the center of the hamster trail thing. It has a device that you feed balls and then push a button to shoot them up all over.

I honestly don't know if he's as terrified as he looks here. He could have just been upset that someone else pushed the button or just yelling at the falling balls. But regardless, it cracks me up!

McKenna spent a good amount of time playing with the wood puzzle things. She is a very focused little girl.

And of course, pics of our sweet friends! We have the best playmates!

Have I mentioned how much I love this little girl?! She always is smiling and gives the best poses!

"P" cracks me up! This girl is fearless and was made to be a gymnast! Pointed toes and everything! And very graceful in her jumping/falling!

And by comparison, my sweet boy is not nearly as graceful!

I love that we go to the same places each summer. It's really fun to compare year to year. Check out my post from our playdate last year! Look how cute and little they all were!
