Bath Time

As I was giving Austin a bath Thursday, I noticed the sun was hitting his face just right and his eyes were just beautiful. Thankfully my camera was nearby and my child can sit by himself in the tub, so I fired off a "few" pics. Here are just some favorites. Plus a slideshow of the rest.

Slide Show

After his bath, Austin perfected his hair pulling technique...

Step 1. Wait for momma to get distracted by giving you belly kisses.

Step 2. Discretely grab a hold of momma's hair. Make sure to get some intertwined in your fingers.

Step 3. Giggle profusely. This makes momma think you're simply enjoying your belly kisses.

Step 4. Swiftly kick momma in the face. If all goes as planned, she will violently pull her head back and you will be left with a handful of your prize.

Step 5. Smile and giggle sweetly and sell it that this was just an accident. You had no idea what would happen. After all, you're only 4.5 months old.

White Coat Syndrome

Austin had his 4 month checkup today and all is good! He's 25.75" tall (75% still). He weighed in at 14lb 3oz (35%). He was 50% last time, so he's down a little bit, percentage-wise, but the dr wasn't too concerned, since he's eating good. And he still has a little noggin - 25%. And he's meeting all his milestones just fine!

Poor little guy has "White Coat Syndrome" already. He's got a good memory from the last time he was there at 2 months and got shots. He started crying when the nurse weighed him and then again when she measured his head. And all the dr said was "Hi!" before he burst into tears. And he never cries for anyone so he must have known what was in store for him at the end of the visit. There was a good amount of crying and a lot of hugging his snuggly blanket (Have I mentioned how much he loves his snuggly blanket from Auntie Suz?) but he made it through.

I don't have the heart to tell him that he has to go get blood drawn next week to check his thyroid levels.

4 Months Old!

I can't believe one third of a year has passed since Austin was born. It just doesn't seem right!

Here's his newest Winnie the Pooh pic and a comparison of them all.
